EdenRed Benefit

Designing an overarching platform for employee benefits

ECOMMERCE B2B2C UX&UI PRODUCT DESIGN

During the Pandemic the market shifted towards a new reality. The “Great Resignation” signaled companies to stress retention in a reality where free coffee and snacks no longer were benefits.

This called for flexibility in the extra salary benefits and opened the market for Benefit to help companies with their employee satisfaction.

Objective
Edenred Benefit needed to encapsulate all its apps and services into one platform while providing a new experience and including the newly acquired Benefit Platform for employee benefits to set it apart from the competition.
Purpose
With over 33K companies in need of flexible benefits to grant their over 1.5M employees, access to a wide range of benefits to choose from. Ranging from food, health and pension to electronics and vacation packages.
Outcome
My team disseminated the existing available research and raw data to identify a UX strategy to increase user engagement by introducing a "Discover" Section where Users used their available budget to access goods and services. We delivered the EdenRed "Super App" in 8 weeks. And were awarded the design of the web platform too.

Shopping for your benefits.

Edenred proposes more than 100 programs for companies that wish to make life easier for their employees and improve their purchasing power in many areas: food, transport, health, training, personal services or purchase of ecological products.

Flexible benefits programs allow employees to choose the ones they want according to their specific needs, for example healthcare, leisure or personal services. We were entrusted with the design this new flexible benefits program while also driving daily engagement.

Benefits & Engagement

The legislative framework in Romania regarding employee benefits is strict and complex. With different rules and taxation levels based on the type of benefit the user accesses.
This is where the Information Architecture or UX map really shines. It allows to account for all possible scenarios to get the best possible outcome.

Flexible and Consistent

Benefit’s design language is scalable while maintaining a distinctive personality that seamlessly integrates with the overall brand.

Usability both delightful and fresh looking.

I strived to create an appealing and engaging user interface while making sure it was easy enough for users of all ages and technical levels.

Before After

Adding and activation of a card.

Edenred had a big problem getting people to activate their cards. Mostly because adding and activation were two separate processes. So the obvious solution was to unify this experience into a seamless flow.

End to end in two months.

Possible with readily available research to disseminate, plan and execute in what normally is just the discovery timeline. Although expensive, this type of SWAT engagement can be highly rewarding.

User friendly functionality

After a very successful project with the app, we were also invited to taken on the employee web platform.
An endeavor that meant scaling up with big twists and real estate.

Detailed visual elements

Our goal was to create a straightforward and modern visual language consistent with the rest of the platform. We translated it into dashboard cards for easy information navigation.

Streamlined and modular design

We designed the platform with modularity in mind. Reusable tiles with different type of information regardless of placement. Again the mix of copy, illustration and information hierarchy allowed us to create a timeless design for Edenred’s Benefit platform.

The best design is invisible.

Thought out details that come natural to the user create the delightfulness that all clients seek. The ROI translates into the time it takes the user to identify what a section is and what a button does.

We achieved this with with a mix of UX spice here and there, properly written copy and smart illustration usage.

We’ve worked with Adrian on designing an innovative new product which translates into a new mobile app. We found him to understand very quickly our business and our needs, helping us identify answers to most challenging questions. He was very professional and delivered the entire scope of our project in a timely manner, even going the extra mile to deliver some out of scope topics. Feedback rounds were very smooth and efficient. Looking forward to working with him in the future.
