Simplifying regulatory complexity.
The legislative framework in Romania regarding employee benefits is strict and complex. With different rules and taxation levels based on the type of benefit.
With over 33K companies in need of flexible benefits to grant their over 1.5M employees, Edenred Benefit needed an all-in-one solution.
Solving one of the biggest pain points.
Getting people to activate their cards. In the old system, adding and activation were two separate processes . My solution was to unify this experience into a seamless flow.
I designed and prototiped a solid and user friendly card activation process, Protopie allowed for a nearly indistinguishable experience and enabled me to add animated Lottie loaders and validate data input fields.
Playful visual language
With most of the user base using the platform on desktop I headed towards a playful and clean design language.
With most of the user already using the web platform, the priority was to refresh this first and later introduce the app.
I opted for a clean design with illustrations to showcase the various benefits categories.

User friendly functionality
Delight comes from the little things. I made sure to provide quick access to some of the most used functionality.
Thought out details that come natural to the user create the delightfulness that all clients seek. The ROI translates into the time it takes the user to identify what a section is and what a button does.
I achieved this with with a mix of UX spice here and there, properly written copy and smart illustration usage.
Benefit`s user dashboard enabled users to have a comprehensive view on their budget, card management and expenses.
